Holistic practitioners believe that if the whole person has imbalances (physical, emotional, or spiritual) in their lives, it can negatively affect their overall health. We believe that the body will heal itself once we integrate the body, mind, and spirit. In the quest for optimal health and wellness we train and educating our clients to maintain balance and harmony through exercise, nutrition and positive lifestyle changes.
Better health begins with awareness. Do you know the underlying reason or reasons why you are losing your health? Maybe you never even thought to ask the question. Without any awareness of why we have an un-resolving symptom, it’s difficult to take steps toward resolution and prevention of future health issues. You may need a change in your diet or the products that you use in our home, information gained must lead to action. Symptoms are easy to mask, but until you find the overall cause of your body’s lack of wellness you may never regain the vitality that leads to a life of creative fun.
Holistic is based on the belief that unconditional love and support is the most powerful healer and a person is ultimately responsible for his or her own health and well-being. All people have innate healing powers. Healing takes a team approach involving the client and therapist, and addresses all aspects of a person's life. Treatment involves fixing the cause of the condition, not just alleviating the symptoms.
Holistic practitioners help their patients take responsibility for their own well-being to achieve optimal health. Clients need to be educated on lifestyle changes and self-care to promote wellness which may include diet, exercise, relationship and spiritual counseling. The Client is the expert you make the changes, you decide what a good lifestyle change is, and we are just your guides.
The process of integration isn’t simply following someone else’s exercise or diet plan it is an active, conscious process that recognizes the need to find a new balance. Clients need to take in the new, and see how it fits with the already known. Inwardly you know what you need. You may ignore the truth of the need to make immediate changes, but that lack of optimal health will be the exchange of this lack of action.
What brought you to where you are now probably won’t take you to where you want to go. Identify where to focus your energy and create goals that work for you. Ignite your enthusiasm and start making changes today and soon the change will be making YOU happen. Understanding of our bodies healing power, and the willingness to determine and act on the optimal course of action is the Holistic approach.
